About Us

An Essential Procurement Resource for the Public Sector.

IPF has created a dynamic new Website to better serve public sector procurement practitioners, clients and partners. Integrated with IPF Online Services - a single user registration provides access to all service areas.

Bringing together information from across the Institute and beyond, including the CIPFA Procurement and Commissioning Forum, the Technical and Statistical Information Services and the Signposts Service, IPFProcurement.net is an essential resource for procurement practitioners.

The new site provides users with comprehensive coverage of procurement related information and is a valuable tool and resource for practitioners who want to access up-to-date information about current initiatives, toolkits, research and developments in procurement. The new website will help public sector colleagues make more informed decisions about procurement within their organisations and allow sharing of best practice.

Tim Ramsdale, Head of IPF Internet Services said that "the new site has been developed with the specific needs of procurement practitioners as well as voluntary and charitable organisations in mind to make their daily tasks more simpler." The new site also has enhanced navigation and usability, offering each visitor access to a growing collection of procurement information, member success stories and online demos.

In addition the new site provides the visitor with insight into the many ways IPF and in particular the CIPFA Procurement and Commissioning Forum can assist organisations deliver better and more efficient procurement. Visitors will experience not only our services, but the corporate culture, commitment and dedication to public services.

"From the beginning, we wanted to produce an innovative, intuitive and informative website and we have achieved our aims. IPFProcurement.net will inform, educate and hopefully also enlighten and entertain colleagues involved in procurement whether it is the Head of Procurement or new starter to the profession. I believe it will become an invaluable resource for anyone involved or interested in the new age of procurement," said Mohamed Hans, CIPFA PAC Forum Manager.

Intuitive Navigation

Visitors will be able to quickly and easily travel through the site to gather desired information including online booking of events, job listings, current and previous issues of Procurement Watch and the popular Weekly News Update, subscription rates, advertising information, press releases and news clippings, and submission of best practice documentation from member and non-member organisations. Visitors to the site also will find the aesthetic—similar to the print version of the publication—to be inviting and sophisticated. Special features range from online tutorials to illustrated full-text feature articles.

As well as reflecting the structure and content of Procurement Watch, the service will provide information and insight into the developing world of public sector procurement and the work of the Centres of Procurement Excellence covering all the important topical and technical issues:

  • Efficient and Effective Procurement;
  • Partnerships and Collaboration;
  • Sustainability;
  • E-Procurement;
  • Supply Chain Management.

To keep up-to-date with national, regional and local procurement developments register on the website at www.ipfprocurement.net.

We hope you'll enjoy the new look and feel and that the features will enhance your surfing experience for things related to procurement.
